No matter where you live, there is probably one holiday hot spot (or more than one) that everyone has heard of. A Saturday event that happens around the Summer Solstice — this year the Mermaid Parade was on June 19th. The Mermaid Parade started in 1983 as an arts parade that celebrates all things sea-related.
